Writing Data Communication Research Public Interest £80,000-£120,000 Oxford, UK / Remote

About this role

Our World in Data is hiring a writer to make the world's largest problems understandable to a vast public audience. Full-time (part-time considered for the right person), £80,000-£120,000, Oxford office or remote with overlapping working hours. Genuinely rare: a job where the brief is to write clearly about important things at one of the most respected research-and-data publications on the internet.

What makes this a Translator role?

Translators make the complex simple. They bridge worlds – technical and creative, internal and external, strategic and tactical – and make sure everyone is speaking the same language. If you can distil a 50-page report into a one-page brief, explain code to a CEO, or turn user feedback into a product roadmap, this role is built for you.
